How much does delivery cost?
Delivery costs are set at checkout, based on the delivery address and items purchased.
Mainland UK - Maximum of £4.99 (except for items such as wheelbarrows, shavings forks, stable grills etc. coming direct from the supplier which may incur an extra delivery charge at checkout)
Delivery is usually made by Next Day Courier and must be signed for. If your parcel cannot be delivered within 2 attempts, redelivery charges may apply. Please allow 3-5 working days for dispatch and then delivery. In the unlikely event your order could be delayed any longer than this for any reason, we will contact you by e-mail or phone as soon as we can. If you require this parcel for a particular deadline, it is always worth contacting us once the order is placed and we will endeavour to do what we can to assist with this, but not guaranteed.
DPD Pickup Point Click & Collect - £2.95
Delivery is made by DPD to a DPD pickup point of your choice. Once the parcel is at the pickup shop you have 3 days to collect the parcel and then it is returned to the retailer. Please note that if your parcel is not collected from the DPD pickup point we incur a £15.45 charge from DPD to return the parcel to us on top of the initial postage rate you have paid. If your parcel is not collected we will deduct this amount from your refund.
Non-Mainland UK & Central Europe - £4.99
Delivery by Courier to the Channel Islands, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Sweden, Spain and the Netherlands is usually £4.99. We do however reserve the right to request additional postage from Customers where the delivery may cost us substantially more (if it is very large) or if an order comprises of Sale Products only. We will contact customers by email in order to request further postage payment. Postage costs do not include any customs or duty charges, these are charged by the courier when the parcel is at the border and are the responsibity of the buyer, if the duty charges are not paid and the parcel is returned to us we are unable to refund any outbound postage fees.
Other European Countries and Rest of the World - Variable
Delivery to European countries not included in the list above, together with Rest of the World deliveries (e.g. Australia, New Zealand, USA, South America, Canada etc...) is set at checkout and is variable. sometimes these costs may appear higher than the actual, so for an accurate postage quote to these countries, please e-mail [email protected]. We reserve the right to request additional postage from Customers where the delivery may cost us substantially more (if it is very large) or if an order comprises of Sale Products only. We will contact customers by email in order to request further postage payment. Postage costs do not include any customs or duty charges, these are charged by the courier when the parcel is at the border and are the responsibity of the buyer, if the duty charges are not paid and the parcel is returned to us we are unable to refund any outbound postage fees.
Foreign Tax and Duty Charges
Orders shipped outside of the United Kingdom may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. All customs, duties and taxes are to be paid by the recipient. In addition, if shipments are refused by recipient, return shipping charges will be incurred. Original shipping charges will not be refunded. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.
How quickly will my order be delivered?
Once an order has been placed and payment completed, most orders are dispatched within 3-5 working days via a tracked Next Day Courier Service or (for some smaller or lower value items) Royal Mail. Most of our orders actually leave us within 24 hours of being received by us - at Hope Valley we pride ourselves on our fast delivery of Internet orders, because we know that this is what customers usually want more than anything!
How Will I Know where my Order has got to?
A Confirmation E-Mail, together with any relevant courier tracking details, will be sent to your specified e-mail address upon dispatch. If there are any problems with being able to dispatch your order quickly we will let you know as quickly as possible by phone or by e-Mail.
Will My Order Need to be Signed for?
Orders do not require a signature upon delivery. However, it is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that someone is available at the delivery address to receive the parcel. The courier is required to provide photographic proof of delivery. If a parcel is delivered to a designated safe place selected by the buyer, responsibility for the parcel transfers to the buyer at the time of delivery. Neither the retailer nor the courier accepts liability for any loss or damage that occurs while the parcel is left in the safe place.
What if there are Problems with Delivery?
Whilst Hope Valley will make every reasonable effort to liaise with customers and couriers to resolve any delivery issues, if a parcel is returned due to non-delivery, additional delivery charges may apply to arrange a redelivery.
If you have any questions regarding a delivery issue, please contact us by email at [email protected]. All parcel queries must be reported within 12 days of the order date. Any delivery issues or parcel queries raised outside of this 12-day period may not be able to be resolved, as Hope Valley will be unable to submit a claim to the courier on the customer’s behalf.
