1. Warehouse and Dispatch Sales Assistant

Location: Somerford Farm Park, Congleton, Cheshire, CW12 4SW

As one of the UK's leading Equestrian Online retailers, Hope Valley are committed to delivering standard of Customer Service that exceeds customer expectations. We are looking for a Warehouse and Dispatch Team Member with a good level of Equestrian knowledge to help us to continue to achieve this. This position can be offered to the right person on a Full (5 days a week) or Part Time basis (3/4 days).

This role will be based at our Somerford Park Store 09.45 – 18.15 and will include working a Weekend day, due to being open 7 days a week. Wage dependant on experience.

Roles and responsibilities of the Job:

Hope Valley is a fun and dynamic place to work - you can be asked to do all sorts of things that you might not always expect! However, the following items would always form the core part of your role within the business.

  1. Ensuring that listings are always up to date with correct stock levels and also pricing information
  2. Processing orders through our e-commence system
  3. Dispatching and shipping orders quickly, correctly and efficiently
  4. Engaging with customers in store, online and by telephone with product queries, returns cases, order queries

Full training will be given on the specialist software that we do use; however, the right candidate will find this easy to pick up.

The Person

A good level of Equestrian knowledge is essential for this role, along with the following attributes:

  1. An excellent level of written (typed) English.

As this job heavily involves writing to our very valued customers via E-Mail, it's important to us that you can not only type quickly and efficiently, but that the quality of spelling, grammar and vocabulary are to a high standard.

  1. A Good Phone Manner

When you aren't writing to customers, you will generally be speaking to them! A patient phone manner with a confident and clear voice are essential, as is the ability to execute this whilst in a busy office environment. Good English is again essential to the role as we need to present a professional image to our Customers.

  1. The ability to Multi-Task under Pressure

The nature of this job is that you have to keep a few plates spinning at once. You need to be able to figure out what is urgent and what is less urgent and manage your workload accordingly. Sometimes you'll need your colleagues help to complete a task. Efficient, quick and clear communication with other team members is essential.

Retail Sales Assistant - SATURDAY

Location: Hope Valley Saddlery, Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre, Organsdale Farm, CW6 0SR

Hours: We have positions available for:

Every Saturday - 09.45 until 18.15

Extra hours will be available on an ad hoc basis during busy periods.

** All positions will include working weekend days. **

Wage: Dependant on experience.

Main Tasks

Working in our busy Equestrian Store, based at Kelsall Hill, the role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Confidently meeting and greeting customers
  • Becoming highly knowledge about our brands enabling you to offer customers great service and assistance when looking for particular types of product.
  • Keeping the shop floor clean and tidy
  • Serving on the till
  • Restocking the shop floor

The Person

We are looking for Staff with good equestrian knowledge who enjoy engaging with customers to provide an exceptional level of service and shopping experience. You will be a good listener and communicator, with a friendly and approachable manner. You must work to a high standard, be time conscious, be well presented with an enthusiastic, self-motivated attitude and are able to work in a fast-paced shop environment.

Full training will be provided on fitting safety wear, all technical products, and use of the till systems.

Retail Supervisor- Full Time (Part Time considered for the right person)

An opportunity has arisen to join our Hope Valley- Somerford Team, we require a confident Retail Supervisor with a strong focus on providing exemplary standards of customer service, an aptitude for motivating a team, as well as, a relevant interest in all things equestrian and a passion for selling within the equestrian goods sector.

This role is based at our Somerford Park Store, 09.45 – 18.15 and will include working a weekend day each week, due to the Store being open 7 days a week. Please do not apply for this job if weekend work is a problem, all positions require weekend hours. Wage dependant on experience. Ideally this is a full time position, however 3 / 4 days may be considered for the right person.

Key Areas:

  • Welcoming customers to our store and providing an exceptional retail experience
  • Ensuring 5 Star customer service is provide at all times
  • Leading, coaching and motivating the retail team to maximise sales
  • Supporting retail management with daily running of the Store
  • Acting as a passionate brand ambassador and promoting Hope Valley values
  • Training and supervision of the retail team
  • Upholding the Company image in all areas of the store
  • Motivating the retail team to achieve success and serving as a role model and mentor
  • Ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to by all team members
  • Creating interesting visual merchandising displays
  • Dealing with sales transactions, refunds and operation of POS Systems
  • Awareness of Health and Safety policies, ensuring these are adhered to at all times
  • Stock replenishment
