2 - Store Manager - Somerford Store - Full Time
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Hope Valley Team, we require an accomplished and talented Retail Store Manager with specific experience and exposure to fast paced product based, clothing and ecommerce retail.

Working together with your other Managers, you’ll help create the kind of store that inspires everyone who visits or works there.
As a Store Manager you will be able to demonstrate strong drive and vision on providing exemplary standards of customer service, an aptitude for motivating and leading a diverse and experienced team and a passion for high performance in everything you do as well as, a relevant interest in all things horsey and a passion for selling within the equestrian goods sector.
What we need:
A retail natural with great people skills and bags of ideas, you’ll feel right at home with us. You’re as enthusiastic about things Equestrian as we are, and you love sharing this with our customers and colleagues. You know how to get the best out of others, and how to create an environment where people feel valued. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re flexible too – able to cover store opening hours on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays.
This role will be based between our Somerford Park and Kelsall Hill Stores 09.45 – 18.15 and will include working a Weekend day, due to being open 7 days a week. A competitive salary dependant on experience. Ideally this is a Full-Time position 40 hours over 5 days, however 4 days- 32 hours, may be considered for the right person. This is a permanent position on completion of a 3 month probationary period.

3- Customer Service and Returns Adviser - Somerford Store
Full Time, 5 days a week to include a weekend day.
Maternity Cover (may lead to permanent position)
To be based at our Somerford Park Farm, Congleton, Cheshire CW12 4SW.
Hope Valley are committed to delivering standard of Customer Service that exceeds customer expectations. We currently require a Full Time Customer Service Team Member with a good level of Equestrian knowledge to help us to continue to achieve this. This role is 10am until 6pm and includes Weekend work.
Roles and responsibilities of the Job:
The following items would always form the core part of your role within the business.
- Dealing with the queries by phone:
- General product enquiries
- Customer order enquiries
- New Customer orders
- Liaising with Suppliers and Couriers
- Managing the Office Voicemail and ensuring follow through on messages
- Responding to E-Mails:
- Customer order enquiries
- Supplier queries
- General product enquiries
- Processing Customer Returns / Exchanges
- You will also be responsible for managing the logistics of all products returned and liaising with the relevant departments to ensure the correct returns process is followed.
- Timely and accurate processing of all customers returns
- Liaising with customers and suppliers
- Ensure all returns comply with the company terms and conditions
The Person
A good level of Equestrian knowledge is essential for this role along with the following attributes:
- An excellent level of written (typed) English.
As this job involves writing to customers via E-Mail, it's really important to us that you are able to not only type quickly and efficiently, but that the quality of spelling, grammar and vocabulary are to a really good standard.
- A Good Phone Manner
A patient telephone manner with a confident and clear voice are essential, as is the ability to execute this whilst in a busy office environment. Good English is again essential to the role as we need to present a professional image to our Customers at all times.
- The ability to Multi-Task under Pressure
The nature of this job is that you have to keep a few plates spinning at once. You need to be able to prioritise your workload and schedules.
- The understanding of the importance about working at Weekends
If working at Weekends is a problem - please don't apply for this job. The days of this role have not yet been fixed and would be discussed at interview, however you would expect to be work a weekend day each week. As weekends are our busiest times and staff levels needs to reflect this.

4 - Retail Sales Assistant - Somerford Store
Location: Hope Valley Saddlery, Somerford Park Farm, CW12 4SW or Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre, Organsdale Farm, Middlewich Rd, Cheshire, Tarporley CW6 0SR
Hours: We have positions available for:
Full Time (5 days a week / 40 hours) 09.45 until 18.15
Part Time (1- weekend day / 2 / 3 / 4 days a week) - 09.45 until 18.15
** All positions will include working weekend days. **
Wage: Dependant on experience.
Main Tasks
Working in our large new Equestrian Store, based at Somerford Park near Congleton, the role will include the following responsibilities:
- Confidently meeting and greeting customers
- Becoming highly knowledge about our brands enabling you to offer customers great service and assistance when looking for particular types of product.
- Keeping the shop floor clean and tidy
- Serving on the till
- Restocking the shop floor
The Person
We are looking for Staff with good equestrian knowledge who enjoy engaging with customers to provide an exceptional level of service and shopping experience. You will be a good listener and communicator, with a friendly and approachable manner. You must work to a high standard, be time conscious, be well presented with an enthusiastic, self-motivated attitude and are able to work in a fast-paced shop environment.
Full training will be provided on fitting safety wear, all technical products, and use of the till systems.
